Spending the better part of a decade on the road with a handful of bands as a lead and pedal steel guitarist, Tyler learned to write songs as a course of life. Time away from loved ones, lost connections and missing the place where he felt most at peace laid the groundwork for what would become his first EP in 2017.

He has spent the last several years traveling the United States and Europe with such bands as Porter Union, The Brothers Roberson, Dusty Rust, The Harmed Brothers and others while also as a solo artist where he has developed a close bond with his friends and family on the road. Tyler now tours and records with his wife, Cheyenne, as a duo from their home north of Kansas City, Missouri.

Tyler and Cheyenne have released three singles together including Time Don’t Heal, This Time Around and To Have & To Hold with their fourth single of 2022, Long Haul, due on June 3rd.

My time as their steel guitar player helped shaped so much of what I know about making and performing country music and we’re happy to keep our musical partnership going by releasing this song.

She introduced me to a whole new state of existence; one where I wasn’t the villain of my story, just a kid with a good run of bad choices that helped to break a pretty weak heart to start with. An actual lifelong dream came true tonight. I had tickets to see @realmickfoley in Springfield in 2020 but I couldn’t make it because of a gig opportunity that came up for @porterunion but @coleporterrealtor graciously bought me a pair of ticke
An actual lifelong dream came true tonight. I had tickets to see @realmickfoley in Springfield in 2020 but I couldn’t make it because of a gig opportunity that came up for @porterunion but @coleporterrealtor graciously bought me a pair of tickets for the Kansas City show. Fast forward a couple months and Covid cancels everything... now, two full years later, I finally got to meet my hero. I’m so thankful @cheyennedorrellgiles supports my childlike enthusiasm. She never makes me feel guilty for getting so excited about anything, not even pro-wrestling. This was an actual bucket list night of my entire life, truly, and I can’t imagine sharing it with anybody else.
